After a lengthy Title IX investigation, the University of Evansville has fired head men’s basketball coach Walter McCarty.
The school made the announcement today:
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville announced today the dismissal of Walter McCarty as Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball team, effective immediately.
Mr. McCarty was placed on administrative leave on December 26, 2019, as UE initiated an external investigation by a national law firm into reports of alleged sexual misconduct and violations of the University’s Title IX policy.
