Former Kentucky center Enes Kanter — who recently changed his legal name to Enes Freedom — had a busy NBA trade deadline.
Spending the 2021-22 season in Boston, the Celtics included Freedom in a trade at the deadline that temporarily sent him to Houston. From there, the Rockets quickly waived the veteran center, making him a free agent.
Freedom played 35 games this season for Boston, averaging 3.7 points (52.6% FG, 85.7% FT) and 4.6 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per contest. It was his second stint with the Celtics, previously playing for the team in 2019-20.
