He cemented himself as a big personality in early 2018 when he went all “Stone Cold Steve Austin” after Kentucky defeated Florida. He had a great junior season and seemed poised to lead this year’s defense, only to struggle with a variety of issues in 2019.
Daniel suffered from multiple concussions this season, struggled to replicate his strong play from 2018, and most notably was disciplined by coach Mark Stoops after obviously trying to injure Florida quarterback Kyle Trask on the bottom of a pile early in the season.
However, Daniel showed up and showed out in the Belk Bowl, leading the Wildcats in tackles with eight in the team’s upset victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies.
