Kentucky football defensive coordinator Brad White thinks the Wildcats must manage their emotions in a rivalry game versus Tennessee. Jon Hale, Louisville Courier Journal
LEXINGTON – One need look no further than the 2018 season for an accurate summation of Kentucky football’s historic futility versus Tennessee.
The Wildcats were en route to just the third 10-win season in program history and their first winning record in Southeastern Conference play while the Volunteers were limping to a second straight losing season. Still, the head-to-head matchup between the two border rivals ended just like 31 of the previous 33 games in the series did.
