Eli Brown was one Mark Stoops’ most talented recruits to come from the state of Kentucky, given a 4-star rating as Warren East’s linebacker. However, he never really received the hype because of a knee injury. Brown planned to use his first year to add muscle end ensure his knee was 100%, but plans have changed.
“I know I told you guys that he was going to redshirt,” Mark Stoops said. “But Eli came and talked to us and wants to play. I said, ‘Good, let’s go.’ We need him.”
