Eastern Kentucky among the best in the country at the three-ball

Once the ball is tipped in Rupp Arena tonight, fans can expect the opposing team to rain three-pointers all over the place. It seems to always happen in these non-conference games, no matter the opponent — and tonight’s opponent is one of the best shooting teams in the entire country.

Eastern Kentucky ranks sixth in the nation entering the game at 44.3% percent on the season, connecting on 10 of its 23 three-point attempts per game. Only Oklahoma, Western Illinois, Northern Florida, Kansas and SMU shoot the ball at a better clip, and EKU has 60 more attempts than four of those five.
