Throughout the season, the Kentucky Wildcats have had different players wearing Chris Oats’ No. 22 jersey. Against the Georgia Bulldogs, Josh Paschal was the one in Oats’ No. 22.
On Saturday, another jersey was added to the field, as starting center Drake Jackson was wearing No. 65 in honor of offensive line coach John Schlarman. Schlarman wore the No. 65 when he played at Kentucky from 1994-97 and has been battling Stage IV cancer since 2018 and missed the trip to Missouri last week.
After the game against Missouri, Jackson commented on the situation.
