The Kentucky Wildcats ended their season with a brutal 74-73 loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Thursday in the SEC Tournament.
Despite trailing by 14 at halftime, the Cats rallied back to have the ball down 74-73 with 7 seconds remaining.
John Calipari drew up and excellent play for Dontaie Allen that got him an open three-point attempt, but unfortunately, the shot didn’t fall. His magical game ended with 23 points on 8/15 shooting.
The nightmare season comes to a close with a 9-16 record and this is the first time Kentucky has missed the NCAA Tournament since 2013.
