Dominque Hawkins is Taking a Backseat to Mychal Mulder

Last night Mychal Mulder had the best game of his career. The Canadian Junior College transfer scored a career-high 13 points. Mulder knocked down 3 three-pointers, grabbed 4 rebounds and blocked a shot.

Mulder’s best performance happened under pressure.

“Mychal in practice really shoots the ball. In games he shoots them, he just doesn’t make them,” Calipari said on tonight’s call-in show.

Cal tried to solve the problem by giving Mulder more opportunities to knock down shots. Before the game, Calipari spoke with Mulder and Dominique Hawkins. Cal told them he was going to let Mulder be the first guard off the bench.
