Former Kentucky superstar John Wall has heard the criticism, but he isn't buying it — and he could afford it if he was.
The Washington Wizards' 171-million-dollar man is currently sidelined with a partially torn Achilles tendon and probably won't play next season, meaning the team will be spending a cool $38 million or so on a player who won't suit up. And while players have returned from Achilles tears before, plenty of other athletes have never fully recovered from the injury, and Wall will likely be on the wrong side of 30 when he gets back on the court.
