DJ Wagner wins Iverson Classic High School Player of the Year

Kentucky commitment, DJ Wagner, is going to have to build a bigger trophy case. Not long after winning MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game, and fresh off winning the event’s 3-point Contest, the Iverson Classic named Wagner the National High School Player of the Year.

Wagner marks the second year in a row an incoming Kentucky freshman has won this award, as Cason Wallace took home the honor in 2022.

On3 ranks Wagner as the 5th best overall recruit in the class and the nation’s best combo guard.
