For the second year in a year, Louisville lost an exhibition game on October 30 to a Division II school.
Tonight, it was Kentucky Wesleyan that came to the Yum! Center from Owensboro to knock off the Cardinals 71-68.
The Panthers out-worked the cold-shooting Cards for most of the game, winning the rebounding battle 47-33. Wesleyan pulled down 16 offensive rebounds to just 5 for Louisville.
The Cardinals struggled from the field, shooting just 16-for-47.
Borja Fernandez led Kentucky Wesleyan with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Kaeveon Mitchell chipped in 13 points, including 4 crucial free throws down the stretch to help seal the win.
