Kentucky’s most experienced playmaker in the secondary will miss the entire 2019 football season.
UK announced Davonte Robinson suffered a season-ending right quadriceps muscle injury during summer training on Tuesday that will require surgery.
Following a mass exodus in the secondary, Robinson was expected to be Kentucky’s leader in the defensive backs’ room. The most experienced player in the young group, last season Robinson recorded 42 tackles, 3 for loss, four PBUs and two fumble recoveries. The Lexington native was a four-star recruit for Henry Clay High School when he picked Kentucky over Notre Dame in 2016.
