Kentucky seniors Davion Mintz and Olivier Sarr have both been named candidates for the 2021 Senior Class Award, an honor given to student-athletes with notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
Kentucky is one of just two schools to have a pair of candidates, with the other being SEC rival Tennessee.
Mintz and Sarr are two of 30 candidates selected for the award, which focuses on the total student-athletes and encourages them to use their platform to make positive impacts as leaders in their communities.
10 finalists will be named for the award in late February, followed by a vote by the media, coaches and fans to determine the winner, which will be announced at the 2021 NCAA Final Four.
