In the 2020-21 season, Davion Mintz started 21 of 25 games for Kentucky and became the most consistent player for the Wildcats by the end of the season. After averaging 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 30.8 minutes per game, the Creighton transfer decided to return for a super senior season.
Only now Kentucky would need its top returning player to come off the bench to open up starting roles for transfers Kellan Grady and Sahvir Wheeler along with star freshman TyTy Washington.
Mintz is now shining in his role as Kentucky’s sixth man.
