Davion Mintz isn’t waiting for tomorrow’s Wooden Award announcement to start having the conversation about Oscar Tshiebwe. Last night after Tshiebwe won the Naismith Award, only the second Naismith winner in the history of Kentucky Basketball, Mintz asked his Twitter followers, “Oscar to the rafters in Rupp?”
Tshiebwe still hadn’t tucked his Naismith Player of the Year trophy into bed before Mintz started the conversation online. “Let’s have this talk,” Mintz tweeted.
Kentucky’s only other Naismith winner, Anthony Davis, still needs his jersey retired before Tshiebwe’s banner is sewn and raised.
