Less than 48 hours after the recruiting dead period ended, Dane Key was enjoying Kentucky’s campus as an unofficial visitor.
Make no mistake, the four-star pass-catcher from Lexington has been on the Wildcats’ campus plenty of times. He’s seen the facilities and watched games from the stands at Kroger Field. However, this is his first time receiving the full recruiting treatment in almost 18 months.
He started the open recruiting period with a bang, iced out behind a podium in the all-white uniforms. Key’s former Frederick Douglass teammates, OL Jager Burton and WR Dekel Crowdus, were quick to chime in.
