Six games. Six games before the end of the regular season. That’s all. It seems to have flown by (which is odd considering that watching individual games has at times felt like watching a sloth eat molasses as it waits for Christmas), yet here we are. Six opportunities for Coach Cal to invent and implement a season-saving ‘tweak.’ Six chances for this group to “get it.” Six precious intervals of forty minutes are all that remain before these youngsters are thrown into the unforgiving deep end of tourney-time where there are no more chances nor room for mistakes. We have seen teams overcome their regular season struggles, peek at the right time, and go on a deep run in March.
