Major League Baseball released the All-Star rosters yesterday. The leading vote-getter is Bryce Harper. The reason for the headline is that Cincinnati Reds Shortstop Zack Cozart was voted into the All-Star for the first time.
Cozart is a HUGE fan of donkeys, and that is what began this interesting journey. During spring training, Cozart would take his son to a facility near the Reds complex. They loved it so much that Joey Votto promised to get him his own donkey if he made the All-Star team.
It began as kind of a joke, but it quickly got real, said Cozart.
