this afternoon. Since transferring to Kentucky from Nebraska in 2015, the junior linebacker has been a very active member of the community. In May, Love was one of three Kentucky players chosen to participate in a service/educational trip to Ethiopia where he helped build houses, made shoe-shining boxes for the homeless and provided food to impoverished families.
He currently serves in a mentoring program with local high school students using Skype technology to talk to them about the importance of good grades and making wise decisions. He also has participated in an event at the Indian Summer Camp for children who are cancer survivors or currently have cancer, and has taken part in events with the UK Children’s Hospital, Read Across America, Special Olympics and “Champ’s Camp” youth football camp, along with other service activities.
