LEXINGTON – John Calipari’s testimony before the Kentucky Senate Standing Committee on Education about its name, image and likeness bill was preceded by a playful direction to committee members to not ask questions about the basketball team.
Calipari managed to sneak in some basketball news anyway.
“My comment would be the kids that have made mistakes leaving early, because of (the NIL bill) will stay,” Calipari said. “Now, if someone is a No. 1 draft pick what I probably would say to him is if you want to do what’s right for you and your family, you probably should go.
