Could March Madness be played without an audience amid coronavirus concerns?

The coronavirus outbreak is the No. 1 topic on nightly news. Now it’s transformed into a SportsCenter story.

The National College Players Association (NCPA) is a non-profit that advocates for the welfare of student-athletes. They’ve turned their attention to the coronavirus. Today the NCPA issued the following statement:

“In the wake of the emerging coronavirus pandemic, the NCAA and its colleges should take precautions to protect college athletes. They should also make public which actions will be taken and when. Precautions should include cancelling all auxiliary events that put players in contact with crowds such as meet and greets and press events.
