John Calipari has changed his staff a lot this offseason with the addition of Illinois assistants Orlando Antigua and Ron “Chin” Coleman.
Now that the hires are official, we now know the details of the contracts each coach received.
According to the Courier Journal, Kentucky is set to pay Antigua $850,000 next season, and Coleman will earn $450,000 for a total of $1.3 million. That is $450,000 more than previous assistants Tony Barbee and Joel Justus.
Antigua will be getting a $25,000 raise for each of the three years resulting in a $900,000 salary in 2023-24 making him the highest paid assistant coach in the country.
