Chris Westry and C.J. Conrad earned All-SEC Freshman honors this afternoon when the conference announced its rookie team for the 2015 season. They became the fourth and fifth Wildcats to be named to the SEC All-Freshman team in Mark Stoops’ three seasons, joining Jon Toth in 2013, and Ramsey Meyers and Austin MacGinnis one year ago.
Westry started every game for Kentucky and ranked second on the team with two interceptions, along with his 36 tackles and one sack. He and A.J. Stamps shared the team lead in pass breakups with eight apiece.
Conrad started in nine of the 12 games at tight end and caught 15 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown.
