Terrell Strayhorn, director of the Center of Higher Education Enterprise at The Ohio State University, will speak to students 7 p.m. Monday at Memorial Hall.
Strayhorn will talk about race, class, social identities, education and the criminal justice system, connecting these things to the book, “Picking Cotton,” as part of the Common Reading Experience series.
Strayhorn is also a professor of higher education in the College of Education and Human Ecology’s Department of Educational Studies at OSU. He has been featured in a TEDx talk, entitled “Inalienable Rights: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Belonging.
