After seven-plus months of waiting ,a real-life college football game has kicked off, as Austin Peay vs. Central Arkansas is officially underway on ESPN.
Playing at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, AL, the season-opener is taking place with a reduced capacity – about 2,000 game tickets were distributed – in the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff.
In terms of game day information, here are a few notes:
- No tailgating allowed adjacent to the stadium
- Seating is socially distanced (six feet apart)
- Fans must wear a mask when entering the stadium and walking around
- Cheerleaders are seated in the stands
- Concession stands are open for prepackaged items
Regarding the television broadcast, ESPN reporter Lauren Sisler is live on the sideline for on-field analysis, while game announcers Matt Barrie (play-by-play) and Mike Golic Jr.
