Colin Goodfellow named to Ray Guy Award Preseason Watchlist

Another day, another Kentucky Wildcat making a preseason watchlist. This morning, Colin Goodfellow was named to the watchlist for the Ray Guy Award, given annually to the nation’s top punter.

Last season, the super senior from Cleveland averaged 45.94 yards per kick, the third highest mark in the SEC and the second-highest average for a season in school history. Goodfellow is the first player in school history with two punts of 70 yards or more in his career; one came against Georgia, the other against Mississippi State. That earned him a spot on last season’s watch list for the Ray Guy Award, which ultimately went to Matt Araiza of San Diego State.
