It’s that time of the year, Cats fans, when CoachCal.com introduces us to the fresh faces in the basketball program. Today it’s incoming freshman Charles Matthews who was profiled in the summer series, and it appears he’s taking over the “artsy” title Willie Cauley-Stein left behind.
“I like art because people get to express themselves,” Matthews told CoachCal.com. “If you look at a lot of artists, everybody has their own style, their own sense of culture, and all of their art represents them in some ways.”
Matthews won’t be picking up Willie’s sidewalk chalk, but he is a fan of a street artist is his hometown of Chicago.
