In a game filled with momentum shifts, highlight plays, clutch performers, and crazy moments on special teams, the Beechwood Tigers have pulled off one of the most memorable Class 2A finishes in recent memory, knocking off the Lexington Christian Eagles on a blocked extra point attempt in overtime to pull off the 24-23 victory.
Going for the tie in overtime following a three-yard touchdown run by LCA star running back Xavier Brown, kicker Andrew Dobbs saw his PAT blocked by Beechwood’s Brady Moore to seal the win and bring home the 2A title trophy, their 15th in school history.
