Cincinnati falls to Nevada, Kentucky now top seed in the South

And just like that, Kentucky’s path to a Final Four has been gift-wrapped to us.

The Nevada Wolf Pack just knocked out two-seed Cincinnati, leaving Kentucky as the top remaining seed in the South.

To make it to San Antonio, the Cats will have to take on either (16) UMBC or (9) Kansas State, and then (11) Loyola or (7) Nevada.

John Calipari has complained about Kentucky’s death region year after year, and it looked like the Cats were given one yet again this season.

Now, despite the Selection Committee’s best efforts, Virginia, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Arizona, and Miami are all out.
