The buzz around Kentucky Football even made it to the country music red carpet. On Wednesday at the CMT Artist of the Year Awards, Kentucky native Chris Stapleton was asked about the Wildcats’ 6-0 start, and whether they have a shot at upsetting No. 1 Georgia tomorrow in Athens. Stapleton, who was born in Lexington and grew up in Johnson County, summed up a lot of Kentucky fans’ thoughts when discussing the surreality of the season thus far.
“I think anybody that grew up in Kentucky is trying to figure out what in the world is going on right now,” Stapleton told CMT Hot 20 Countdown host Cody Alan.
