Child Hit By Alleged Drunk Driver on Cooper Drive During UK Football Game

A 4-year old child was hit by an 18-year old driver on Cooper Drive during the Kentucky football game this afternoon.

The driver was arrested and charged with DUI according to reports in the Herald-Leader:

A four-year old boy is fighting for his life at after being hit by a car during the University of Kentucky football game on Saturday afternoon.

Lexington police Sgt. Stephen Yoder said the child was taken to UK Chandler Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The car’s driver, an 18-year-old man, is “currently under arrest for DUI,” Yoder said.

He said no one else was injured.
