An Omaha, Nebraska, prosecutor has decided against filing charges regarding threats made by Kentucky fans against college basketball referee John Higgins, but has contacted law enforcement officials regarding seven individuals and has advised the Federal Communications Commission of two media outlets that posted a video montage that carried Higgins' personal contact information.
In a statement released late Friday afternoon, Sarpy County prosecutor Lee Polikov said "any criminal charges would be best served by deferring to authorities in the appropriate jurisdictions."
