In the new lease between the University of Kentucky and Rupp Arena, the Lexington Center Corporation agrees to invest $15 million back into Rupp Arena. One of the first additions will be chairbacks for the upper level guests between sections 228-234 and 211-217.
“We are trying to create things that go back to the fan experience,”said UK athletic director Mitch Barnhart. “We continue to try and put pieces to the the puzzle in place that make it a really special place to play.”
Chairbacks aren’t the only changes happening to Rupp. Four “individual UK entertainment or club suites” will be added to provide pregame and postgame entertainment for fans.
