CBS Bracketologist Jerry Palm Bumps Cats Back Down to a 2-Seed

The Cats’ decisive loss in Knoxville yesterday doesn’t entirely knock them out of contention for a 1-seed in the NCAA tourney, but it certainly did a lot of damage. CBS’s resident bracketologist Jerry Palm has taken the liberty of shifting UK down a peg to the 2-seed line, giving Tennessee back that coveted top spot.

At 25-3, with eight Quadrant 1 wins and losses only to top 20 teams, the Volunteers have earned their place as a No. 1 seed. Tennessee’s losses have been to Kansas on a neutral court, at Kentucky and at LSU.
