LEXINGTON, Ky. – It was a bad week for UK basketball on and off the court.
On the court, the Wildcats lost back-to-back games for the second time this season. Off it, the program suspended sophomore Tai Wynyard for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Courier Journal first reported a strange allegation involving Wynyard attending a party with an armed student claiming to be the basketball player's "protection." UK has not confirmed if that allegation is the cause of the suspension.
What's next for the Wildcats? Courier Journal beat writers Jon Hale and Fletcher Page discuss in a new episode of the CatsHQ podcast.
