CATS IN THE PROS: Anthony Davis thrives with Los Angeles Lakers

Former Wildcat Anthony Davis, responsible for breaking the single-season blocks record at Kentucky, has started off the current NBA season with a historic run.

After a 38-point outburst against the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 1, Davis joined Shaquille O’Neal as the only player in Lakers franchise history to average 30+ points per game, 10+ rebounds per game and 2+ blocks per game through the first six contests of the season.

Anthony Davis gets ready before the NBA Preseason game between the Washington Wizards and the New Orleans Pelicans at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday, October, 19, 2013.
