Following Kentucky’s 80-53 victory over Auburn this afternoon, John Calipari told reporters at his postgame press conference that he was a big fan of the decision, saying he was “going to go kiss (NBA commissioner) Adam (Silver)” for moving forward with this.
“I think it’s going to be perfect for us,” he said. “I mean, this — I’m going to go kiss Adam, tell him, this is beautiful for me. It’s good. … If I had a chance to coach three and four years, I would absolutely love it. I would love it.”
Calipari used Kentucky forward PJ Washington’s decision this past offseason as a great example why it’s important for kids to come back and develop before making the jump.
