Now that his 2020 class is taking shape, John Calipari is turning an eye to 2021. According to Paul Biancardi, Calipari will be in White Plains, New York today to see A.J. Griffin, a five-star small forward at Archbishop Stepinac.
The 6’7″ 200 lbs. Griffin doesn’t have an offer from Kentucky yet, but has been offered by Auburn, Duke, Kansas, UCLA, Michigan, UConn, Seton Hall, Vanderbilt, and Villanova. In fact, Jay Wright is also scheduled to see him play today. Tony Barbee watched him play on September 16.
Fun fact: Griffin is the son of former Seton Hall star Adrian Griffin, who played in the NBA from 1999-2008 and is now the lead assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors.
