“They were just better than us,” Calipari said after the game. “I told them I got out-coached, you guys got outplayed. We’ll watch the tape and move on.”
Cal admitted he thought his team would have an advantage on the glass, but that was not the case. Duke out-rebounded Kentucky, 38-37, and beat the Wildcats to every loose ball, he noted. Cal was also very impressed by the turnover margin. Duke had only four turnovers in the entire game.
“They’re a very good team,” he said of the Blue Devils. “If they play like that, they’re not losing many, if that’s who they are.
