John Calipari is spending his night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to watch Romeo Langford in the Indiana 4A State Championship. Tony Barbee is in the suite with Cal, while Indiana’s Tom Crean and Butler’s Chris Holtman watch courtside.
For those who aren’t in the Louisville area, you might not have heard of Langford. The New Albany, In. sophomore shooting guard opened the eyes of Kentuckiana when he scored 46 points in the semi-state. The prolific scorer averaged 30.3 points per game this season.
Ranked in the Top 25 of the 247 Composite for the Class of 2018, Rick Pitino and Tom Crean are doing their best to make sure he doesn’t go far from home.
