The No. 2 ranked Kentucky Wildcats are one day away from their preseason opener against Lexington’s own Transylvania University.
Though the game won’t count toward the win-loss column, it is still an important night, as it will be the first time the 2018-19 team faces an opponent at Rupp Arena.
It will be a benchmark to see where this team stands, as well as a chance for John Calipari to start forming a rotation and set a starting lineup.
Calipari noted Thursday that many players were still in the mix to be starters.
“There’s probably nine guys who can start.
