With a quick turnaround following Thursday’s Thanksgiving holiday, the Kentucky Wildcats made their return to Rupp Arena’s hardwood by playing host to UAB on Friday evening.
After yet again another sluggish start, Ashton Hagans, as well as a collective effort from his teammates, led the charge that put the Wildcats ahead 38-25 at the half. In the first 20 minutes, Hagans managed to play 19 of them and score six points while handing out eight assists (with just one turnover) and playing sensational lockdown defense.
As far as scoring the ball in the first half, EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards led the way by each netting eight points on an efficient 8-9 shooting from the floor.
