Cade Cunningham, the No. 2 overall player in the 2020 class, just verbally committed to the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The five-star combo guard announced his commitment Tuesday on Instagram prior to the Champions Classic.
Cunningham, a 6-6, 215-pound guard out of Montverde Academy in Florida, had long been viewed as an Oklahoma State lean after they hired his brother, Cannen Cunningham, to be an assistant coach. Another potential factor was Cunningham’s hometown is Arlington (TX), and Stillwater is a lot closer to home than any of the other programs, and being that he is away from home for high school, playing closer to home may be something he wants to do.
