Kentucky got its seventh win of the season today, beating Yale 69-59. It wasn’t the prettiest of performances, and if not for Oscar Tshiebwe‘s 28 points and 12 rebounds, we could be talking about a loss, not a win. Let’s pull up the box score to figure out what went wrong and what went right in the ten-point victory vs. the Bulldogs.
A few things that stood out to me:
- Oscar Tshiebwe was 13-18 from the floor. The rest of the team combined was only 16-40.
- Outside of Oscar, Sahvir Wheeler had the most field goals and attempts at 5-14.
