2018 produced one of the most memorable and successful football seasons in Kentucky history that was topped off by a Citrus Bowl victory over Penn State. Last year’s team was filled with stars and future pros including two all-timers in RB Benny Snell and OLB Josh Allen. The 2019 Cats had high expectations but faced discernible challenges due to graduation and Snell’s early departure.
This season started off fast but was later slowed by injuries to key players like QB Terry Wilson and safety Davonte Robinson. Kentucky was placed in a quarterback conundrum following yet another injury, this time to grad-transfer Sawyer Smith.
