Buzz Williams is leaving Texas A&M to take the head coaching job at Maryland.
Maryland opened up a few days ago when Kevin Willard went to Villanova.
Williams was 23-11 at A&M this season. The Aggies lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
In 18 seasons as a head coach, Williams has a 373–228 (.621) record. He has been the head man at New Orleans, Marquette, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M.
“It is an honor and privilege to be named the head coach of the University of Maryland men’s basketball team,” Williams said in an introductory press release.
