Busy weekend in Lexington forces Kentucky's Regional opponents to stay in dorms

Related Topics: Lexington, Kentucky

As we outlined yesterday, it’s going to be a very busy weekend in Lexington. Not only is Kentucky hosting a regional of the NCAA Baseball Tournament, the Railbird Music Festival is taking place at the Red Mile and several KHSAA state championships are happening around town. As a result, hotels are sold out, to the extent that you can’t find a room within an hour of Lexington. That makes things a little tough for Kentucky’s opponents in the Lexington Regional, Ball State, West Virginia, and Indiana.

According to Ben Upton, players and coaches for all three teams were informed last night that they’re staying in UK’s dorms.
