You may remember that a few years ago John Calipari proclaimed that he would never have a bad shooting team again at Kentucky. That shooters were going to be a priority in recruiting moving forward because cold shooting teams had doomed the Cats in a few NCAA Tournaments. Now whether or not Cal meant that (and it’s clear he didn’t) there is no doubt that this year’s edition is one of the most anemic offensively and worst shooting in the school’s history. But after digging through the numbers a bit, I actually was a bit shocked by just how bad it really was, especially from the 3-point line.
