Barring some unforeseen new additions to the roster for next season, I think the 2020-21 version of the UK basketball team will enter the season with the lowest expectations of any Calipari team in his tenure. And it’s well deserved. With only one player on roster who scored points last year, very little in the front court, and a heavy reliance on freshman, next season could truly go any number of directions. I know we are conditioned to expect these 5-star freshman will be fantastic but for all of the De’Aaron Fox, Brandon Knight, Karl Towns type players we’ve had, we have also had the Archie Goodwin, Skal Labissiere, Ryan Harrow, Khalil Whitney type players who have struggled in their first years.
